CONTR IB UT ORS 1 6 2 3 4 5 1 Trevor Corlett is CEO and cofounder of MadCap Coffee Company and currently lives in the Washington, D.C., area heading up MadCap's expansion project. He is also currently serving as the chair of the Barista Guild of America, is an SCAA Specialized instructor, a subject-matter expert in espresso for the SCAA, and an editorial advisor for Barista Magazine. Trevor has been competing in barista competitions for a number of years having finished in the top six in a regional consecutively for the past five years. In 2011 he finished 4th and most recently 3rd in the United States Barista Championship. When not making coffee, he can be found doing Lego construction with his wife and three daughters. He is moving to Brazil to be director of agribusiness for a new coffee company. There he will manage Santa Izabel in the Sul de Minas Gerais region. He currently is a member of the SCAA Sustainability Council and served two terms on the SCAA Board of Directors. Prior to starting at Atlas in early 2008, Al worked at Alterra Coffee Roasters in his home town of Milwaukee for seven years as director of culture and communications. He also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the late 1990s in Bolivia, where he first saw coffee being grown.
