I love Stuff Megan Loves: Toddy Cold Brew Coffee System stuff Why do you love it? I love Toddy because it's a simple, straightforward way to make an excellent cup of cold-brewed coffee, and the results are consistent and repeatable. How is it particularly well suited for a busy café? One of the best things about Toddy is how easy to serve it is. There aren't many coffee drinks that can be both quick and high- quality. All the prep is done beforehand, so to serve all you have to do is put ice in a cup and pour! What do your customers think of the coffee it makes? They love it! Every summer we get people who come in specifically to get Toddy, and we have a pretty good success rate of converting people to Toddy from their iced Americanos. There are even a few die-hard regulars who order it almost daily, year- round. Megan Person Coffee Trainer Aster Coffee Lounge Seattle, Washington What do you like about making Toddy at home? I like to make Toddy at home because it gives me a lot of room to experiment. I like trying out different beans and playing with the brew specs, but definitely my favorite things about home- brewing Toddy are making Toddy Floats (Toddy + ice cream!) and creating cold-brew coffee cocktails for fun. How is the coffee quality that comes out of it? Cold brewing makes for a smooth, sweet cup, and brings out a different character in the coffee than you can get from it brewed hot. It's delicious and refreshing; the hardest part is remembering not to drink it too fast—the higher caffeine content can really sneak up on you on a warm day! just say agave www.1883.com Make like a honeybee and sweeten your life with 1883 Agave Nectar. Sweeter than sugar, 1883's Agave Nectar works great in hot or iced teas or in lattes, and is also a perfect vegan alternative to honey. It's also exciting to note that due to its low glycemic index, blood sugar spikes are less likely to occur, making 1883's Agave Nectar more diabetic friendly. www.baristamagazine.com 37
