P U L L : E V E N T S After an exceptional harvest from their producer partners in Costa Rica, Café Imports staffers wanted to do something extra special to celebrate. You guessed it—they hosted a party. A few friends from U.S. roasting companies Cat & Cloud Coffee in Santa Cruz, Calif., and Mylo Coffee Co. in Little Rock, Ark., (plus one lucky Barista Mag editor) joined the fun in Costa Rica for a few days in late May, visiting some partner producers— including the Las Lajas Micromill and the Aguilera Brothersʼ farms and micromill; checking out cutting-edge research happening at Costa Ricaʼs specialty-coffee association, Icafe; and of course, attending the party, which included an enormous meal, drinks and dancing, and even an espresso bar where Café Importsʼ Noah Namowicz made drinks for the producers.
