went to the original Roma location but there's another in Juarez that's not so crowded), Almanegra is where you want to go for coffee. You can order a pourover done in whatever style you'd like (from Chemex to V60 to Eva Solo), and as you wait, flip through one of the many coffee magazines and books they have available for purchase. Every café we visited in Mexico City was thoughtfully designed and inviting—even the Starbucks shops were carefully laid out and welcoming. If you're looking for a local chain experience, Café Etrusca is the heavy hitter. Along with stores in Mexico City, the company provides wholesale coffee to cafés across the country. If you happen to fi nd yourself outside of Mexico City, you might also stumble upon a Café Etrusca location—they have shops through- out the country, from as far north as Tijuana to all the way down in Guatemala City. We couldn't visit every café in our short time in Mexico City, but a friendly barista at Chiquitito Café referred us to @cafe- terosmx, an Instagram account dedicated to capturing coffees from the best spaces in Mexico City. From the account, we were able to discover some of the cafés in the city, and start making a list of places we wanted to visit next time. With all the beautiful food, scenery, and coffee in Mexico City, there is definitely going to be a next time.
