As part of her work at Question Coff ee, Smayah leads educational sessions and cuppings for Rwandan baristas and consumers, and sometimes tourists. Improving the quality of coff ee sold in the country and building a domestic market for Rwandan coff ee are both strategies to improve long-term sustainability for coff ee farmers. "We help customers try diff erent coff ees, take master classes, and also farm tours take them through the entire process," she says.
