16 barista magazine FROM THE MAILBOX This new issue [April+May 2014] is your best one ever. Oh, but I wrote to tell you that your last one [February+March 2014] was the best ever when it came out, and before that, the one with Fabrizio on the cover [December 2013+January 2014]. Do you see a pattern here? Barista Magazine is hands down the best coffee journalism in the world, and you still insist on being better and better with every issue, every blog post, every time you support a barista and coffee event somewhere in the world. Thank you for making our coffee world a better place over and over again. Nicholas Fleiss Riverside, California Two to three years ago, I first stepped into the world of coffee by reading your articles. Through your hard work and dedication, you have opened my eyes to a side of coffee that I never knew about, and I wrote to you to express how amazed I was by everything that you do. Today, I look back on the time that I have spent reading and rereading every issue I have received from you, and the feelings that I have now are still just as strong as they were then. Be it an interview with an up-and-coming leader in the coffee community, a report on where coffee stands in different cultures around the world, or a sneak peak of the latest gadgets and tools available, I am always looking forward to what you have to say. Because now, rather than reading just for the sake of learning about coffee, I read because it is like I am hearing from a longtime friend (even though we have never actually met, ha ha). So thank you, for everything that you do. I look forward to hearing about your next coffee adventure, the things you see and the people that you meet.
